Teaching throughout Calderdale, I offer tuition in your home in piano (acoustic and digital), keyboard, organ, musicianship and harmony.

Individual weekly lessons at all levels for children and adults are structured according to the strengths and preferences of each pupil and include pieces of music from classical to modern, technical work, sight reading, aural perception and the theory of music. Pupils learn theory as an aid to understanding the music they are playing and as a requirement at Grade 5 level for those instrumentalists who wish to progress to a Grade 6 Associated Board practical exam. There are opportunities to perform duets as well as solos and I can obtain sheet music and books for pupils from local music shops.

I teach in the afternoon and evening on weekdays and a limited number of appointments are available at present.

Tuition continues during half-term school holidays - to assist pupils who are preparing for exams - but lessons are discontinued during the Christmas, Easter and summer holidays.

All new pupils are given a free initial consultation to assess their needs and to confirm all necessary details including scheduling of lessons, course materials and payment methods.
